Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I visited a lot of big schools with good engineering programs, but the first time I visited Penn State I completely fell in love.
What has been your best memory as an engineering student? Going on the Engineers Without Borders trip during Spring Break 2014. It was great to be able to help a veteran rebuild his house while at the same time getting to experience the culture of Louisiana.
What has been your best memory as a Penn State student? My first THON in 2013. It's such a great environment where everyone feels safe and happy. I loved every second of it and look forward to everything about it including canning, hanging out with our family, and being there for almost all of THON weekend.
What advice would you give a first-year engineer? I would tell them to try and get the most out of Penn State by taking advantage of everything you can. Put yourself out there and if something sounds interesting to you, try it.
Give me one fun fact about yourself. I love grilled cheese.
Sarah is a junior studying Civil and Environmental Engineering.
