Seneca Valley

Engineers without Borders, yoga, THON

What Internship/Co-Op/Study Abroad or Research experience have you had?

Research at Pitt, engineering project in Roatan, Honduras

Why did you choose to come to Penn State?

I chose to go to Penn State because after I did SWE Stayover, I fell in love with the school

What is your best Penn State or engineering memory?

I went to Honduras to install solar panels with the club Engineers without Borders. My favorite part of the trip is when we laid the last panel on the module. It was so incredible to see this structure come together after two years of work.

What did you wish you knew as a first-year engineer?

I wish I had known better places to study. I spent a lot of time studying in my dorm room, and didn't get a lot of work done as a result. There are so many great places to sit down and focus, such as in the Hub, the library, empty classrooms, and many different lobbies in buildings with comfy chairs.

What was your favorite class you took as a freshmen?

I loved ENGL 294 which focused on women writers of the early 1900s

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I love watching hockey! The Pittsburgh Penguins are my favorite.
