I interned with Baker Hughes, a GE company, at the Dresser plant where they have been making pipe connectors and joints for over 130 years!

Why did you choose to come to Penn State?
It just felt right! I toured 10 colleges and Penn State made me feel the most at home. It also happened to work out that they have a great engineering department, an awesome Women in Engineering Program, and literally the best alumni network.

What is your best Penn State or engineering memory?
I have so many good memories it is hard to pick just one. Overall, the memories I treasure the most are just being with my friends sharing laughs on the hub lawn, going to see them perform with their clubs, or cheering with them at football games.

What did you wish you knew as a first-year engineer?
STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS! Please never assume you are the only one who has failed an exam, gotten super stressed out, or just felt overwhelmed at times. Everyone has felt that way, even that super star classmate has felt some sort of pressure, so reach out to others because you definitely are not alone. Also not everyone has that awesome freshman year experience sometimes your best year in college comes later!

What was your favorite class you took as a freshmen?
Introduction to Asian Literature. I learned a lot about Asian culture I had not known previously and my professor Reiko Tachibana is one of my favorite professors at Penn State.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
My older brother graduated from The Ohio State University, so the rivalry gets pretty intense during football season.
