Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I came to Penn State because I knew it was one of the best engineering schools around. Also the day I took a tour of my common wealth campus I knew I was home and I could see myself grow at this campus.
What is your best Penn State or engineering memory? My best engineering and Penn State memory would have to be watching all of my friends and I grow. We have struggled together and worked hard together. At the end of my Sophomore year it was nice to see everyone successfully make it into their major. It was such a great moment.
What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Never give up. Have confidence in yourself and even in the people around you. You will get through tough decisions with the help of your friends and family. Asking for help is not pathetic. It is a strong trait that in the results will help you be successful because if you knew all the answers you wouldn't have anything to learn.
What is a fun fact about yourself? I have five beehives and know a bunch about bees. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors and anytime I can get away I will.
Renae is a junior studying Civil Engineering
