Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I chose to attend Penn State because of the atmosphere and school spirit you can feel as you walk around campus. It is easy to tell why its location is nicknamed "Happy Valley."
What is your best Penn State or engineering memory? My best Penn State engineering memory took place while I was traveling abroad. I was on a tram in Paris, France that was taking me to my airplane. Another woman on the tram saw the Penn State pin on my backpack and it sparked a conversation. She was a Penn State alum who graduated from the College of Engineering as well. It is my favorite memory because it made me realize that Penn State is everywhere and its students move on to do big things after graduation.
What advice would you give a first-year engineer? As a freshman, I did not know how to study efficiently or effectively. In order to be successful, I would first year students to attend office hours as often as they can, even if they understand the material. Studying and doing homework in a productive atmosphere with other students working on the same problems as you is very beneficial to learning.
What is a fun fact about yourself? I can walk on my hands and my favorite color is purple
