Internship/Co-Op/Study Abroad Experience: Study Abroad Summer 2014 in Australia. Co-op with The Dow Chemical Company in Newark, DE and Plaquemine, LA. Internship with Exelon in Kennett Square, PA.

 

Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I choose Penn State after I participated in the SWE stayover as a high school senior. My "buddies" (Penn State engineering students) made the school feel like home.

 

What is your best Penn State or engineering memory? One of my favorite memories from Penn State is coming back to school sophomore year and realizing how much I missed my Penn State friends. It wasn't until the moment that we all met up in the HUB that I realized how much the friends I had made freshman year were like my family at school.

 

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Make time for yourself. Your school work will be challenging and time consuming but make sure you don't sacrifice doing the things you love. Making time to watch that one episode of your favorite TV show, going to the gym, attending club meeting, or whatever your passion is will make all the difference.

 

What is a fun fact about yourself? The platypus is my favorite animal which is why I chose to study abroad in Australia because that is the only country where you can see them.
