Dressage, Engineers for a Sustainable World, SWE, Tau Beta Pi

What Internship/Co-Op/Study Abroad or Research experience have you had?

I studied abroad in Australia the summer after my first year. I co-oped in Dow Chemical's Electronic Materials Division, Ethylene Plant, Power Plant, and Silicone Plant. I also interned at Exelon Generation in their Nuclear Division.

Why did you choose to come to Penn State?

I chose to come to Penn State after I learned about the Women in Engineering Program at the SWE Stayover my senior year of high school.

What is your best Penn State or engineering memory?

I loved getting to know the people on my floor in the dorm rooms. We would always have a lot of spontaneous fun and shenanigans.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer?

Don't be afraid to ask for help or advocate for what you want from professors, advisers, friends, and mentors. We all want to help you succeed.

​

What was your favorite class you took as a freshmen?

Probably Math 140 because I had one of the best professors.

​

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I am obsessed with the platypus which you can only see in Australia. It was one of the only reasons I decided to study abroad there.
