Activities Outside of WEPO: Outside of WEPO I am involved in ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) as the outreach director for the Penn State chapter, SWE (Society of Women Engineers), and Catholic Campus Ministry as a cantor. I am also involved with SWE benefitting THON. Additionally, I was involved in Engineering House (E-House) and with SWAT (Sophomore Women Ambassador Team) last year.

Internship/Co-Op/Study Abroad Experience: I am currently in the middle of my first internship. I am working for Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions in Cleveland, Ohio as a mechanical engineering intern.

Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I chose to come to Penn State because I wanted to receive a world class engineering education while also living on a beautiful campus with a great support system of friends, faculty, and alumni. I knew Penn State wouldn't let me down. Over the past two years here at Penn State, I have grown as a student and as a person through all of the friends I have made, lessons I have learned, and resources I have taken advantage of through the College of Engineering. I am excited to continue on my journey as a Penn Stater and as a Mentor for WEPO'16.

What is your best Penn State or engineering memory? My best Penn State memory is going to my first Penn State game. A big group of freshman from my dorm and I all went together for the first game and I didn't realize we walked through the S-Zone gate. Right before the game started, Lion Ambassadors were handing out t-shirts to all of us. I was so excited that I got a free t-shirt! (The first of MANY free t-shirts!!)

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Schedule time to go to office hours! In high school, it's easy to stay after class or use your free period to go ask your teacher a question. In college, it is a little more tricky to schedule help from your professors. Your professors' office hours might be during one of your classes or by appointment only. Schedule your weeks and block out time to meet with your professors to ask a question or to get some face-to-face time with them. It is always worth the time to see your professors and get clarity on a subject that is giving you trouble!

What is a fun fact about yourself? I love to polka dance!
