Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I came to Penn State because I completely fell in love with everything here. The atmosphere, how proud everyone here was of their school, and of course, THON.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? I have a lot of memories that I love. I loved being an EON mentor last year as well as a WEPO Rover. It was just so fun to help out new freshmen. I also loved the classes I took last semester. They were hard and forced me to find some of my best friends who suffered through with me.

What has been your best memory as a Penn State student? I loved both THONs and every single football game I've been to. The atmosphere during those events is something that you won't ever find anywhere else in the world.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Go out. Make friends. Make enemies. Fall in love. Take a picture at the lion shrine. Go to football games. Go to THON. This is your time to be selfish and to be you. Enjoy it because it flies by and it's the best time of your life. Don't study too hard because you'll miss the best parts of college: the people.

Give me one fun fact about yourself. I met my mentor partner last summer because we got randomly paired together as roommates at GE Transportation!

Katie is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering.
