What activities are you involved in outside WEPO?

I'm the president of AWC (Association of Women in Computing), which is a club for young women majoring in computer science, computer engineering, and electrical engineering. I'm also a member of SWE (Society of Women Engineers) and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).

What Internship/Co-Op/Study Abroad or Research experience have you had?

This summer I'm interning with Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL -- I'm so excited! Last summer I interned with Reading Crane & Engineering in Reading, PA.

Why did you choose to come to Penn State?

Broad selection of majors & classes; excellent engineering programs

What is your best Penn State or engineering memory?

Being elected AWC president :)

What advice would you give a first-year engineer?

Pay attention to people's names when they introduce themselves! You'll meet tons of new people at Penn State, and sometimes it's easy to get distracted and not hear someone's name. And if you do miss their name, don't be afraid to ask again!

What was your favorite class you took as a freshmen?

Introduction to Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies (WMNST 100) completely changed my life, and it was so fun! I learned something new in every class. The workload was also super manageable.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I've been snorkeling in Panama and ziplining in Costa Rica!
