Internship/Co-Op/Study Abroad Experience: Interned in the Philippines with Wyeth Nutrition and Easytoll Manufacturing; Studied Abroad in Ireland at the University of Limerick

Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I chose Penn State because it has one of the best engineering programs in the country, and I also really wanted to study abroad while in college. Penn State was one of the few universities that said that study abroad is possible for engineers, and I was able to fulfill this dream this past spring.

What is your best Penn State or engineering memory? My favorite Penn State memory was during the middle of stressed studying for finals, my friends and I took a break and pigged out on Wings Over, ice cream, and chips while dancing, joking around, and letting off steam in goofy ways.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? College is tough, but you're tougher. It's definitely going to be hard and you might experience some bumps along the way, but keep calm and don't worry you'll get through it. Good friends and fun clubs will help you out; and when in doubt, fake it 'til you make it!

What is a fun fact about yourself? I tagged the Lennon Wall in Prague while sitting on the shoulders of a guy who was 6'7''.

Gabrielle is a junior studying Chemical Engineering
