Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I chose to come to Penn State because it had everything I was looking for in a college. As an Industrial Engineering major, Penn State has a top tiered Industrial Engineering program. There were also many extracurricular activities available and there was also plenty of school spirit.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? I had to take C++ my fall semester of sophomore year. I remember having this difficult homework assignment that required a lengthy string of code to be written. It was so rewarding when I ran my program and the code worked how it was suppose to work.

What has been your best memory as a Penn State student? A group of my friends and I had a tailgate last football season with all of our friends. We had a ton of food, so much that we walked around giving it away. But we had the perfect warm and sunny afternoon and even though we lost the game that day it was fun to hang out with all of my friends.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Take every opportunity that comes your way and don’t take anything for granted.

Give me one fun fact about yourself. I am addicted to ice cream and could eat it everyday for the rest of my life.

Emily is a junior studying Industrial Engineering.
