Why did you choose to come to Penn State? Penn State has an excellent engineering program that is highly ranked and heavily recruited by companies. I also really liked the campus a lot.
What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My best memory as an engineering student is when I conquered my (irrational) fear of office hours and started to get to know my professors and TA’s (the classes started to make a lot more sense after that).
What has been your best memory as a Penn State student? The Michigan game when we won after 4 overtimes because everyone in the student section really came together more than I’d ever seen before. The whole stadium was so pumped up and excited, it was a really awesome feeling.
What advice would you give a first-year engineer? If you keep up with the work throughout the semester and get help when you need it, you’ll be okay for the exams. DON’T CRAM, there’s just too much information.
Give me one fun fact about yourself. I’ve been workin’ on the railroad all summer, all the livelong day :)
Brittany is a junior studying Civil and Environmental Engineering.
