Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I actually had my heart set against Penn State at first. I was accepted into three great engineering schools, Penn State included. Then I kept listening to stories from Penn State students, and no matter where they were from or what they were involved in, they all said Penn State was home to them. I didn't hear that at other schools, and that's why I chose Penn State. I wanted a school that would become my new home.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? My best memories an engineering student were WEPO and SWE Stayover. I absolutely loved WEPO my freshmen year because it got me so excited for engineering. I also loved getting future freshmen excited for engineering with SWE Stayover.

What has been your best memory as a Penn State student? My best memory as a Penn State student was THON. This year was my first THON experience, and it was great. I was there for almost 30 hours, and, although it was hard to stay that time, it was so amazing to spend time with the families and support all of the THON families.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? My advice would be to adjust your time management as soon as possible. I struggled a lot with this my first semester, and it caused me to miss many opportunities.

Give me one fun fact about yourself. I play the clarinet and the tenor sax! I used to be in marching, jazz, and concert band.

Brienna is a sophomore studying Biomedical Engineering.
