Why did you choose to come to Penn State?

My Dad went to Penn State, and when my family and I came for his graduation ceremony, I fell in love with our campus. At the time, I thought of the possibility of coming to Penn State, but didn't know I'd end up here! Now, I've not only fallen in love with our campus, but even our student body. I've met some incredible people here, and I owe it all to attending this university.

What is your best Penn State or engineering memory?

My favorite Penn State memory was during our last football season, when we beat Ohio State. Our entire student body had an energy I've just never felt before, and when we all stormed the field, it felt so great to call ourselves Nittany Lions. It reminded me how much I love the people that make up Penn State.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer?

Don't compare yourself to others. It's easy for us to look at our friends and peers, and tell ourselves that we need to do exactly what they are doing, but that isn't true at all. Remind yourself that you are capable of anything you set your mind to, and work towards the goals you set for yourself. Be proud of those goals, even if they aren't accomplished. Because at the end of the day, you're bettering who you are, and for yourself, instead of following someone else's goals and ideas.

What was your favorite class you took as a freshmen?

ART H 201, an architectural history class. I loved the eras we discussed during that semester!

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I have a younger sister also on the WEPO '17 team!
